Stefan Rating is an expert in Competition Law and advises companies on regulatory compliance and the application of Regulation 1/2003 (EU) and Spain’s Competition Act 15/2007 in commercial contracts and practices.
He has extensive experience advising companies on merger control processes, including joint ventures and mergers, overseeing their structuring and notification before the CNMC or the European Commission. He also represents companies under investigation or sanctioned for anticompetitive practices and advises both beneficiaries and those adversely affected by state aid.
Stefan is widely recognised for his expertise in the application of EU law in sectors such as telecommunications and sports. He regularly appears before arbitration tribunals, national courts, the CJEU and the General Court in Luxembourg, particularly in state aid cases.
