The Competition and EU Law team was established in 2016 and has since grown to become one of the leading departments in Spain, as recognised by the principal legal directories.
Our team consists of five lawyers, operating between Madrid and Barcelona, with complementary skills, a strong commitment to specialisation, and an in-depth understanding of our clients’ business realities, with particular emphasis on key sectors such as agri-food and consumer goods, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, energy, sports, and transport.
This expertise has allowed us to play a pivotal role in some of the most innovative and complex cases in recent years before both Spanish and European competition authorities and courts, including the first case of abuse through vexatious litigation, the first complaint for breach of the Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR), and the first infringement case for providing misleading information to the CNMC during merger control proceedings.
